What are HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK?
They are different ways to write the same colour. HEX, like #FD3A25, is the short code web designers use. RGB gives the amounts of red, green and blue from 0 to 255. HSL gives the hue as a position on the colour wheel, plus saturation and lightness, which makes it easy to make a colour lighter or darker. CMYK is the cyan, magenta, yellow and black of printing.
The CMYK values here are the simple conversion most colour pickers show. A printer's own colour profile can give a slightly different result, so ask your printer for a proof of important brand colours.

Questions people ask
How do I convert HEX to RGB?
Type the HEX code, for example #FD3A25, and the RGB value rgb(253, 58, 37) appears. The first two characters are red, the next two green and the last two blue, each in base 16.
What is the RGB value of a HEX code?
Each pair of HEX characters is a number from 0 to 255: FD is 253, 3A is 58, 25 is 37. The tool does the conversion for you.
Is the CMYK value exact for printing?
It is the standard mathematical conversion. Printers use colour profiles, so a printed result can differ a little. Ask for a proof for brand colours.
Can I type a colour name?
Not names. Use a HEX code, rgb(…), hsl(…) or three numbers separated by commas.
